CONSULTANCY & SOLUTION FINDING
We work for you to provide the correct passive fire solutions for your building including consent, service coordination and alternative solutions along with effective construction methodology.
COMPLIANCE DOCUMENTATION
We work closely with Council and suppliers to ensure all solutions and systems are 100% compliant. All required documentation including PS3's, as-built drawings, catalogue of photos and location drawings are provided to all stakeholders.

Fire Equipment
NZS 4503:2005
Fire equipment is often the first line of defence in the protection of your building from the effects of fire. With our expertise we can complete a survey of your building and provide a report detailing the requirements to meet the intent of the standard.
We offer thorough inspection and maintenance services to ensure that your fire equipment is in optimal working condition and suitably select, place and reliably maintain all of your fire equipment needs.
Hand operated fire equipment includes portable fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets. Our team can facilitate pressure tests to accurately assess the functionality and reliability of your fire equipment.
To meet our sustainability goals, we complete the pressure test and recharge of your existing fire equipment rather than sending your existing fire equipment to landfill.
Trial Evacuations & Schemes
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fire Safety Evacuation Procedures and Evacuation Schemes) Regulations 2018
T&K Passive Safety develop customised evacuation schemes and evacuation procedure documentation tailored to your building's specific needs.
We can also undertake and manage the entire evacuation scheme process to obtain FENZ approval for buildings without a current evacuation scheme in place.
We provide comprehensive evacuation training programmes to ensure that all building occupants are well prepared in the event of an emergency.
As part of our services we can carry out trial evacuations to not only assess but to improve your evacuation procedures. We can undertake 6-montly trial evacuations for the building and provide evacuation reports of completed activities to FENZ to meet the Building Owners responsibilities in accordance with the Regulations.
Interconnected Wireless Smoke Alarm Installation
NZS 4514:2021 F7/AS1 - November 2023
From November 2023 interconnected smoke alarms are the minimum fire safety system for new built homes, homes with consented works and for any other occupied buildings on the property.
The standard allows for wirelessly or hard-wired interconnection, using either 10 year long-life battery-powered or 240v mains powered alarms. It is also highly recommended that thermal/heat alarms are installed in garages and are interconnected with the house as an early warning system.
T&K Passive Safety can undertake the installation, maintenance and commissioning of interconnected alarms. We can also provide information on the selection and location along with types of compliant alarms to be installed.
